"My legs went limp with fear," said eyewitness Xiangjun Xu. He was carrying gifts to visit relatives and had just walked out of the building entrance when, not far away, there was a sudden loud bang. A woman fell from above and landed on the ground about a meter away from him, motionless. Still shaken, Xiangjun Xu immediately called 120 and reported the incident to the police.
Half an hour after the incident, I arrived at the scene. The injured woman had already been sent to the hospital for treatment, and some nearby residents gathered together discussing the matter.
According to Asia Heart Network News (reporter Zhenjie Qi), at around 10:30 AM on the 28th, a woman living on the 5th floor of Unit 1, Building 1, in the Hope Electronics neighborhood on West Sixth Alley, Changchun South Road, Urumqi, fell from her home and got injured.
Dr. Wu Wang, the attending physician at the hospital, said that upon preliminary diagnosis, the patient suffered from a burst fracture of the lumbar vertebrae, pelvic fractures, and bilateral calcaneal fractures. Her current condition is stable.
The friend of the injured woman, Mr. Huang, said that the woman who fell was 35 years old and has a daughter. The specific cause of the fall is currently under investigation by the police.
Subsequently, I went to the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University and saw the injured woman in the orthopedic ward. She lay on the hospital bed, looking in pain, with unclear consciousness.
