Spot checks on the tea market: the large box of green tea packaging does not indicate the production date. Everyone knows that green tea has a shelf life, but in some tea shops, there is simply no sign of the tea production date. If consumers encounter problems, it is difficult to trace them. Today, the Taishan Road Industry and Commerce Office staff conducted a surprise inspection of a wholesale market within its jurisdiction. In the morning, the Taishan Road Industry and Commerce Office staff came to a tea shop in the wholesale market. Upon entering, they found several large boxes of green tea stacked at the door, with no production date indicated on the packaging. Not only was the production time not indicated, but this retail-only tea shop also repackaged the tea itself. The same problem was found in another tea shop. Due to the shop owner claiming ignorance of the relevant regulations, the industry and commerce personnel then educated the shop owner on-site about the relevant knowledge of the Food Safety Law. After checking around the market, it was found that three tea shops had problems. The industry and commerce personnel decided to seize more than ten boxes of tea that did not comply with the Food Safety Law. It is understood that our city is currently carrying out the Sword Action, increasing the intensity of inspections on the food market. Consumers can call 12315 to complain or report any issues found, to protect their own legitimate rights and interests.
