The suspect of the disturbance and escape case points out the scene, photographed by Ma Quan. Yesterday at noon, a scruffy teenager was escorted by the traffic police, swaying his head while pointing out the scene at the gate of Yunnan Arts University. "Little Egg, start lifting!" At the call of the traffic policeman, the teenager lifted his plump face and gave the policeman a sidelong glance. A year ago, this 17-year-old boy nicknamed "Little Egg" ran over a freshman girl here on a stolen motorcycle, and the girl later died tragically. However, "Little Egg," who fled after the hit-and-run, took pride in it and even bragged about his "heroic act" everywhere...

The incident that happened a year ago has been mostly forgotten by "Little Egg." Yesterday, he stopped at least three locations before finally finding an internet cafe on Keye Road. He told the traffic policeman: "It's right here, on the zebra crossing at the gate of the Arts University. I was riding my motorcycle in the inner lane of the motor vehicle road and wanted to rush forward. There were four pedestrians. I knocked down one girl, and my face was also injured. But the motorcycle didn't fall, so I rode away."

This incident occurred at 10 p.m. on January 9 last year. The police officer explained: "At that time, Keye Road had just opened to traffic and there were no streetlights yet. The surveillance cameras of the police station hadn't been installed either. No eyewitnesses saw or noted the license plate, and there were almost no remnants left at the scene. After the offending vehicle fled, the case hit a dead end."

In March last year, the criminal investigation team of the New High-tech Zone Branch reported that a captured theft gang confessed: there was a 17-year-old person from Zhaotong named "Little Egg" who had killed someone on Keye Road around January and warned them not to commit crimes in that area recently because the police were investigating tightly. But they did not know "Little Egg's" real name.

After obtaining this clue, the Traffic Police Detachment No.2 focused on the solved cases information from various police stations. Whenever there was news on the public security network about police stations solving electric bike or motorcycle theft cases, the detachment immediately contacted the relevant police station. In November last year, Fengning Police Station dismantled a theft gang, and its members once again revealed that "Little Egg" was suspected of being involved in the traffic accident on Keye Road.

On November 5 last year, Hongyun Police Station arrested "Little Egg" and "Cao Cao." The Traffic Police Detachment No.2 immediately joined in and preliminarily determined that "Little Egg" was the troublemaker at that time, and "Cao Cao" was sitting on the back seat of the motorcycle.

The police learned that on that evening, "Little Egg" and three others stole two motorcycles and rushed down the steep slope of Keye Road at high speed. When passing through the gate of the Arts University, they couldn't brake in time, leading to the tragedy. The other two accomplices in the theft were captured last Thursday night in Fuyuan, and one with the nickname "Fatso" was caught in Kunming last Friday.

The perpetrator has been apprehended, but the female college student will never wake up again...
