Portuguese media have leaked that last season, Mourinho tried to bring in Falcao while he was coaching at Inter Milan. Since Porto's current coach is Mourinho's former assistant, Boas, the Nerazzurri hope to soon reach an agreement with the Portuguese giants. According to O Jogo, Inter Milan considers Falcao to be the best successor to Diego Milito. They have prepared 20 million euros for this efficient striker, but Porto hopes to get 25 million euros. In the Champions League match against Bayern Munich, Inter Milan's coach Leonardo only had two forwards available, forcing the Brazilian to line up a 4-3-2-1 single forward formation. Italian media also revealed that during Bayern's trip to Italy, the management of both clubs discussed the transfer of Pandev. The Macedonian is expected to leave the team in the summer. Meanwhile, Argentine forward Diego Milito is still recovering from injury. This season, "The Prince" has missed most games due to injury, and at 32 years old, he obviously cannot be the future of the Nerazzurri attack. Considering Eto'o will also turn 30, finding a successor for the Argentine becomes imperative.

Inter Milan has already identified Milito's future replacement: Porto's Colombian forward Radamel Falcao. Portugal's O Jogo confirmed this news, stating that the Nerazzurri are prepared to bid 20 million euros for this 25-year-old center-forward. The Colombian joined Porto from Argentina's River Plate in the summer of 2009 for a transfer fee of only 7 million euros. In two seasons in Portugal, he scored 54 goals in 68 games, and this season he has already scored 20 goals in 25 games. In this season's Europa League, Falcao has also performed excellently, currently leading the scoring chart with 7 goals.

After two seasons of experience in Europe, Falcao hopes to make his mark on a bigger stage. "I hope to join a bigger club, and this dream has never changed. I like the Premier League and Serie A, and I am always ready for a transfer," said Porto's forward.
