The meaning of spraying and the advantages of high-pressure airless spray machine: The coating method of spraying involves a spray gun or disc atomizer, which uses pressure or centrifugal force to disperse the material into uniform and fine droplets that are applied to the surface of the object being coated. It can be divided into air spraying, airless spraying, electrostatic spraying, and various derivative methods based on these fundamental spraying forms, such as high-volume low-pressure atomization spraying, thermal spraying, automatic spraying, multi-group spraying, etc. Spraying operations have high production efficiency and are suitable for both manual work and industrial automation production. They are widely used in various fields, mainly including hardware, plastics, furniture, ordnance, ships, etc., making it one of the most widely used coating methods today. Spraying operations require environmental conditions ranging from Class 1 million to Class 100 cleanrooms. Spraying equipment includes spray guns, spray booths, paint supply rooms, curing ovens, drying ovens, conveyor systems for spraying operations, and mist elimination and wastewater, exhaust gas treatment equipment.

A major issue in spraying is the highly dispersed paint mist and solvents that evaporate, which not only pollute the environment and are detrimental to human health but also waste paint, causing economic loss. High-Volume Low-Pressure (HVLP) atomization spraying uses low atomizing air pressure and low airflow speed, resulting in lower paint travel speed, which improves the situation where paint bounces off the surface of the object being coated. This increases the transfer efficiency from the typical 30%~40% of conventional air spraying to 65%~85%. In the light leather finishing process, a spray gun or spray machine is used to apply the finish onto the leather surface.

Advantages of high-pressure airless spray machines include:

1. Due to the wide temperature range of the heat source, almost all solid engineering materials can be sprayed, such as metals, alloys, ceramics, plastics, and their composites. Therefore, it can provide various functions to the substrate surface (such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, insulation, heat insulation, biocompatibility, infrared absorption, etc.).

2. During the spraying process, the degree of heating on the base material is relatively small and controllable, so spraying can be performed on various materials (such as metal, ceramics, glass, fabrics, paper, plastics, etc.), with minimal impact on the microstructure and properties of the base material, resulting in less deformation of the workpiece.

3. The equipment is simple, and the operation is flexible. It can perform large-area spraying on large components, as well as targeted spraying in specific areas. It can be carried out indoors in a factory or on-site outdoors.

4. There are fewer procedures in the spraying operation, shorter construction time, higher efficiency, and relatively economical. With the improvement in application requirements and expansion of the field of thermal spraying, especially advancements in spraying technology itself, such as increasingly high-performance and quality spraying equipment, and the gradual increase in types and performance improvements of coating materials, the thermal spraying technology has experienced rapid growth in recent years.
