Chronoswiss's first dual retrograde watch: The Balance

Fresh design: with a little imagination, it's not hard to notice that the elegant dial features two bended return-to-zero displays and pointers resembling butterfly wings. On the left side, there is a 0-30 second display scale where the pointer returns instantly after displaying 30 seconds and continues for another 30 seconds to complete a one-minute display process, as "Wings of Time" dance endlessly. On the right side is the calendar display where the pointer bounces back at the end of the month to start another journey. These two delightful indicators are driven by the La Joux-Perret 8310 automatic movement, which made its debut. About 20 years ago, Chronoswiss launched the classic Chronograph Rattrapante split-seconds chronograph, and this year the brand presents the Timemaster Split Second split-seconds chronograph. This new model has the essence of a high-precision chronograph and can calculate two independent timing programs. With the handcrafted scales and timing needles, it can accurately measure up to 1/4 or even 1/8 of a second; thanks to the balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour of the movement, the chronograph second hand can jump 8 steps per second, making the timing accuracy reach 1/8 of a second, and it is also the first 1/8 second chronograph from Chronoswiss. This fine timepiece is limited to only 55 pieces, showcasing its extraordinary value.

Limited Edition: 55 Pieces

Chronoswiss once again demonstrates its technical level in making mechanical chronographs by mastering the split-seconds chronograph technology. Chronographs themselves are already complex creations, and adding the split-seconds chronograph function makes it even more challenging. In 1992, when the brand introduced the Chronograph Rattrapante, it had already developed column wheel and double clamp technologies and obtained a Swiss patent (No. 682 201). This patented split-seconds chronograph technology also plays a significant role in the Timemaster Split Second split-seconds chronograph.

The first double retrograde watch from Chronoswiss, The Balance, combines exquisite watchmaking techniques with elegant design: the delicate guilloché pattern on the dial displays a balanced layout, highlighting the functions of the automatic chronograph movement, showcasing the beauty of simplicity.

Perfect Details: The engraved decoration on the solid silver dial of the Chronoswiss watch is intricate and beautiful, integrating the decorative designs of Kairos, Lunar, and Delphis series into one harmonious whole. The outer edge is adorned with Breguet-style engraving, the dual retrograde display areas feature wave patterns, the center of the hour and minute counters have honeycomb textures, and the outermost edge is satin-finished. Various finishing textures are distinct and create an unparalleled aesthetic.

Chronoswiss Limited Series Timemaster Split Second Split-Seconds Chronograph

Speed-oriented racing sports, where winning and losing depends on an instant, are one of the design inspirations for the Timemaster Split Second Split-Seconds Chronograph. Gerd-Rüdiger Lang, founder of Chronoswiss, served as the timekeeper for Formula One races and the Moscow Olympics in the 1980s. These experiences significantly influenced his later research in watchmaking techniques, earning him the nickname "Mr. Chronograph". The Timemaster Split Second Split-Seconds Chronograph is the first chronograph developed by Gerd-Rüdiger Lang capable of calculating 1/4 and 1/8 of a second, equipped with a rotating bezel tachymeter that allows drivers to compare it with the speedometer on the dashboard.
