StarDict was originally a well-known electronic dictionary on the Linux platform. Its fame is not only due to its status as an open-source product, but also because it has a large dictionary database in support. These dictionaries are extracted from some well-known dictionaries, and with the support of multi-language dictionaries, StarDict's dictionary collection has already exceeded hundreds.
Among these dictionaries, you can also find the complete word database of Jinshan Dictionary, the super-large dictionary database of Ldao (朗道), LazyMan Dictionary, and even Wikipedia (so you don't have to think of a bunch of ways to bypass the GFW just to look up one entry).
Now, StarDict has launched an online dictionary that inherits all the features of the original software, including the dictionary database. The main interface mimics Google's, but the Ajax-based word lookup interface is very powerful, almost identical to the software version. It saves your hard drive space and even supports showing definitions directly when text is selected. I highly recommend it.
