Classmate, a friend for life
Classmate.net is an international interactive community based on classmate relationships.
The predecessor of Classmate (Tongxue.com) was Roster (FaceRen.com), the first campus network for Chinese people worldwide. The website was born at Harvard University in May 2006. By November of the same year, it had become the largest online community for Chinese overseas students globally. In March 2007, two doctoral students studying in the U.S. brought the website to the Chinese market. In November of that year, the website completed a strategic cooperation with Sina Corporation under the Ministry of Education and its subsidiary Tsinghua Unigroup, and officially launched Classmate.net in March 2008. With the motto "Classmate, a friend for life," the site aims to connect all Chinese people worldwide.
Classmate.net is the only university student-operated entrepreneurial website among similar websites in China. We look forward to sharing all the passionate and youthful memories with our friends.
Classmate.net integrates various features such as alumni records, instant messaging, virtual communities, blogs, photo albums, non-stop multilingual online radio, magazines, and journals, offering highly efficient interactive functions. Additionally, it collaborates with powerful partners like Sina Video, Yiting Music, and Shutter Instant Messaging Platform, making online and offline exchanges and sharing fashionable and enjoyable, while facilitating the exchange of various information and resources.
Classmate.net blends Eastern and Western network cultures into a truly real-name interactive community, making global communication so pleasant, making the internet real, fashionable, entertaining, leisurely, and lifelike. Classmate.net exists purely to meet these needs, continuing, developing, and striving to let the simplicity of the campus continue here, remain free, and stay active.
Classmates, we are waiting for your return. I want us to be together forever.
