On December 2nd, the award ceremony of the 8th "Young Women Scientists Award in China", jointly organized by the All-China Women's Federation, the Chinese Science and Technology Association, the China National Committee of UNESCO, and L'Oréal (China), was held in Beijing. At the award ceremony, Paul Gaitau, President of L'Oréal (China), expressed that L'Oréal is committed to creating a beautiful cause with "science-oriented and serving women". Scientific research and innovation have always been at the core of L'Oréal’s enterprise development strategy. For 13 years, L'Oréal has continuously worked with UNESCO on the "For Women in Science" program globally. As an extension of this program in China, since its establishment in 2004, the "Young Women Scientists Award in China" has seen with delight that the status and value of female scientific researchers in China have gained more comprehensive recognition. It is hoped that in the future, more women will be encouraged to adhere to their scientific dreams and engage in scientific research, playing a greater role in promoting the sustainable development of China's scientific field.
In the past 8 years since the "Young Women Scientists Award in China" was established, the organizers - the All-China Women's Federation, the Chinese Science and Technology Association, the China National Committee of UNESCO, and L'Oréal (China) - have been dedicated to promoting and encouraging more young women to engage in science and contribute to the country's development. The award itself has also caused significant reactions in society, especially in the scientific research field.
