Preparations:
Passport: There is an immigration processing hall at the local public security bureau. Remember to bring your ID card and household register. Do not take passport photos beforehand; you need to take them at the processing location, otherwise the staff will say they cannot be used. The cost for taking photos and copying is 34 yuan, the passport fee is 200 yuan, express delivery fee is 20 yuan, and when you receive the passport, you need to pay another 20 yuan for express delivery, Chengdu Weijielun selected landscape, selected配套设施, but more importantly selected future G Chengdu Weijielun.
Visa: We processed it through an agent on Taobao, which was cheaper than sending it directly to the embassy (sending to the embassy costs 350 yuan per person, we paid 305 yuan per person), and it was free expedited service (the embassy takes five or several working days, expedited service costs extra money, one working day visa. Including round trip, it only took us four or five days.)
Air tickets: We booked about two months in advance on Qunar.com, the actual ticket issuer was Meizhou.com, electronic ticket, China Eastern Airlines. Round trip for one person costs 2049 yuan. At first, we looked at China Southern Airlines' flights via Guangzhou to Ho Chi Minh City, which were a few hundred yuan more expensive, so we chose China Eastern Airlines. However, it is said that China Southern Airlines has better services and more punctual flights compared to China Eastern Airlines, sometimes China Eastern Airlines cancels flights without cause, fortunately, we didn't encounter any issues.

Cash: You need to prepare US dollars in advance, Renminbi is not in circulation in southern Vietnam. We exchanged 1000 US dollars at the Bank of China in advance, requested 200 in small bills, and brought credit cards. When we returned, we still had over 200 US dollars left.
Others: Clothes, toiletries (the hotels we stayed at provided disposable ones), sunscreen (must be high SPF, my shoulders got sunburnt), sunglasses, medicine (various anti-inflammatory, cold, diarrhea, stomach, heat-clearing, insect bite remedies), snorkeling equipment (if you don't mind, it's said that there are rentals available), you can bring some laundry detergent, washing clothes in the hotel is more convenient.
