Francis Lawrence, the director of "I Am Legend", will reunite with Will Smith to shoot "City That Sailed" for 20th Century Fox.

The movie "City That Sailed", directed by Francis Lawrence and produced by Will Smith, tells a story about a father and daughter living on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Their emotional bond is so strong that Manhattan breaks away from the mainland, floating on the Atlantic Ocean. Will Smith may play this father role, but this Hollywood's most profitable star is not in a hurry to take on new movies. His top priority now is to focus on producing "The Karate Kid" which stars his son Jaden. The film will soon begin shooting in Beijing, and Will Smith along with his family has already arrived in Beijing to prepare for the filming.

The script for "City That Sailed" was co-written by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, who wrote the screenplay for "Ocean’s Thirteen". Before them, Andrew Niccol, the writer of "The Truman Show", had written the screenplay for the movie.

In addition to "City That Sailed", Francis Lawrence has another film project - "Water for Elephants" for Fox 2000 Pictures. This movie is adapted from Sara Gruen's novel of the same name and tells the story of a traveling circus during the Great Depression era. Francis Lawrence has been in contact with Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon, hoping she can star in the movie.

It is currently unclear whether Francis Lawrence will shoot "City That Sailed" or "Water for Elephants" first.
