Yaxin News Network (Intern reporter Ji Li) "Crack... Pop..." continued to sound, then a flash of fire passed by, and when the smoke cleared, Ms. Wang from Kuitun, Xinjiang ran out of her house and was stunned by the scene in front of her: not far from her home, at the top of a utility pole, a young boy was hanging in mid-air on the cable, his face distorted and deformed from being struck by electric current, and his clothes were burned. The boy, who was under 14 years old, had sexual relations with his girlfriend and was reported; however, the judge stated that due to their innocence, they would be spared criminal punishment. The boy cried out in agony: "Mom, save me..."

Ms. Wang lives in a bungalow in the Xihuali neighborhood of Kuitun City. She said that around 8 PM on May 20, she was making dinner at home when she suddenly heard a series of explosions outside. At first, she thought someone was setting off fireworks, but upon further listening, she realized it was wrong. When she ran out of the house, she saw a little boy hanging on a ten-meter-high utility pole not far from her home. "The child is so pitiful!" Ms. Wang, also a mother, shed tears.

Ms. Wang consoled the boy not to move while asking for the parents' names and phone numbers. Then, she called different emergency numbers. A few minutes later, the police (110), doctors (120), firefighters (119), and a power repair vehicle arrived one after another.

The boy was urgently sent to the intensive care unit of the Kuitun Hospital in Yili Prefecture. At around 9 PM on May 22, the boy died after unsuccessful rescue efforts; he was only eight years old.

According to the Kuitun police, at the time of the incident, only the boy was present at the scene. It is possible that his curiosity and playful heart led him to climb so high.

In the afternoon of May 23, I drove to this Xihuali neighborhood, which is three kilometers away from Kuitun City. Under the guidance of an informant, I saw the mother of the deceased boy standing alone on the open ground, staring at the utility pole where the accident occurred for a long time.

The boy's mother is named Zhang Aijun, 36 years old, from Jiaozuo City, Henan Province. In 2010, after getting divorced, she brought her child to work in Kuitun City, and the child was attending elementary school.

Zhang Aijun said that on the day of the accident, she was at work, and when she finished her shift, the child was already in the hospital.

"Despite two days of rescue efforts, the child still passed away. We've been here for less than a year, and such an event has occurred. What should I do? How will I explain this to my family back home..." Zhang Aijun cried.

As of the time of the report, the police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
