Among all these, Twitter is the progenitor and remains the most popular abroad; however, it's not very suitable for Chinese users. Tencent's Taotao has a large user base, but the overall quality is not high, as many people activate Taotao just to light up the icon. Fanfou, created by Wang Xing, initially received much attention. However, after Wang Xing started working on HaiNei (a social network), which integrated miniblog services, Fanfou became redundant with stagnant development. The QQ robot on Fanfou frequently malfunctioned, becoming unbearable. Jiwai.de, on the other hand, has continuously developed thanks to Li Zhuoheng's efforts and persistence, making it the undisputed leader in this field in China. I originally activated both Fanfou and Jiwai.de accounts, but during actual use, Jiwai.de's continuous improvements led me to choose it. Below are some personal experiences using Jiwai.de:
1. Jiwai.de supports the most clients and is the most open miniblog service. It can be linked with free mobile phones and offers free SMS updates for friend activities; IM tools supported include QQ, MSN, Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger, Feixin, AOL, Skype, and it can also be linked with the well-known domestic community - Shuimu Community. Jiwai.de also supports third-party applications, allowing you to link with Twitter and Fanfou so that updates on Jiwai automatically synchronize to Twitter and Fanfou. You can even link with Facebook! In short, any site that publishes an API can participate in Jiwai's third-party applications.
2. Jiwai.de allows customization of pages, enabling you to decorate your personal page like a blog.
3. Jiwai.de supports YUPOO photos, 8box, yobo music; youku, tudou, youtube videos.
4. The mobile version of Jiwai.de is convenient to use and supports Weixin, saving data traffic and offering more powerful functions.
5. Jiwai.de supports widgets, allowing you to place Jiwai updates on your blog or even QQ space! It also supports synchronizing your blog updates to Jiwai.
