Facebook Launches New Privacy Feature

[According to messages from iResearch] Facebook has announced a new privacy protection feature that allows users to control the content displayed across different social networks.

This privacy feature builds upon the "Friend Lists" functionality, which was introduced as a social feature in December. Members can divide their network of friends into different groups, creating up to 100 distinct friend lists. This makes it easy to separate colleagues from family members and effortlessly send group messages or invitations. The latest privacy settings now allow users to send targeted information to selected friends or filter out personal details visible to these groups. In other words, the site's 67 million users can now control what information their friends see.
