Buy an all-in-one machine to print invitations. Print the invitation letters. First, create a standard template.

Step 1: Scan the invitation. Scan the invitation into a picture file for backup.

Step 2: Start Word 2003 (other versions have similar operations), and create a new blank document.

Step 3: Set the paper size. Set the paper size to the size of the invitation paper.

Step 4: Insert the image. Execute the "Insert -> Picture -> From File" command to insert the invitation image. In the image toolbar, set the "Text Wrap" to "Behind Text" so that the image fills the entire page.

Step 5: Insert text content. Click on the "Vertical Text Box" button in the drawing toolbar. Input the guest's name in the text box, and set the font and font size. Select the text box, double-click, open the "Format Text Box" window, set the "Fill Color" to "No Fill Color", and "Line Color" to "No Line Color". Then move the text box to the corresponding position on the invitation. Select the text box, copy several times, fill in the other contents of the invitation completely.

Step 6: Print the draft. Put the invitation into the printer and print it. After printing, check the result. If any place is misaligned, select the text box, hold down the Ctrl key, and use the cursor keys to adjust the position of the text box. After adjusting the position, save as "Invitation.doc" for backup.

Secondly, establish a guest database.

First, start Excel 2003 (other versions have similar operations). Input "xm" in cell A1, and input "cw" in cell B1. Input the names of guests in column A, and input "Mr.", "Ms." or "Miss" in column B. After completing the input, save as "Invitation Data.xls" for backup.

Thirdly, import data.

Open "Invitation.doc", execute "Tools -> Letters and Mailings -> Mail Merge". In the "Mail Merge" pane on the right, click "Next: Starting Document", and in the "Select Starting Document", use the default value "Use Current Document". Then click "Next: Select Recipients", and in "Use an Existing List", choose "Browse", and select the "Invitation Data.xls" file. Click "Next: Write Your Letter", choose "Other Items", pop up the "Insert Merge Field" window, and insert xm and cw into the corresponding positions in the document (before inserting, please delete the guest names and titles you just entered). Click "Next: Preview Your Letters", at this point, you can see that the guest names have been inserted into the corresponding positions. Finally, click "Complete & Merge" (before completing the merge, make sure to delete the invitation picture, otherwise the picture will be printed together), put in the invitation, click "Print" and the invitation can be printed out.
