America's McDonald's restaurant entered France in 1979, and now it has 115 restaurants spread across more than 30 cities.
Starting with fried potato strips, everyone entering the company must first become familiar with the work of making hamburgers and frying potato strips. Because the company believes that starting from diligence is an essential condition for success in this industry. If people don't experience each stage of testing and haven't practiced on various positions personally, how can they understand and manage a restaurant later? From cashiers to frying potato strips, every position can potentially cultivate future restaurant managers.
Learning to be a manager. "The chairman's position of the French McDonald's Corporation awaits people to compete for..." The person in charge of recruitment always starts their speech like this. And in fact, one can become a restaurant manager within 18 months and a supervisor within 24 months. All depends on your speed in surpassing each stage and mastering the skills at each stage. Before this, a second-level assistant is actually learning to be a manager already. They are responsible for ordering, planning, scheduling, statistics, etc. A first-level assistant is already the right-hand person of the manager. Thus, a large number of young people with diplomas and abilities are attracted to the company.
Training and learning. Of course, you won't become a manager just after finishing frying potato strips; you still need to go through an exciting phase—spending 15 days studying at the Hamburger University in Chicago. Every year, 50 potential restaurant managers from France come here to learn all the knowledge necessary to run a restaurant. Additionally, all staff members of McDonald's subsidiaries travel to the United States at least once a year. It should be acknowledged that this is one of the most attractive factors of the McDonald's group.
After the training ends, the positions of manager or supervisor will belong to you. After three years, a supervisor may become a regional advisor, acting as the information conveyor between subordinate enterprises and the company, playing roles in organizing training, providing suggestions, and communicating information.
Pay based on work performance. This allows those who have achieved the best work results to receive significantly increased salaries, thus obtaining the most generous rewards according to their work achievements and goals reached during the year. In terms of individual income, employees' wages vary greatly, changing with each job position adjustment and increasing with the promotion of position. Those who initially join McDonald's are paid between 110,000 to 130,000 francs annually. Starting from the fifth month, they are paid between 130,000 to 150,000 francs annually. After 18 months, if you smoothly ascend to the position of manager, you'll earn 180,000 francs. Supervisors, aside from receiving 250,000 francs annually, also enjoy many material benefits. Company staff rarely stay long in one position without moving, so they must continuously strive to achieve new work results, which directly relates to their salary increase issues.
