**Geographical Location and Future Development Prospects of Erhai International Eco-City**

From the "Dali City General Urban Plan," it is clearly visible that Dali's future urban area will be planned into four major sections: Xiaguan Cluster, Ancient City Cluster, Fengyi Cluster, and Hai East Cluster. Among these, our project site is located at the center of the triangular intersection connecting the Xiaguan Cluster, Fengyi Cluster, and Hai East Cluster, serving as a connecting zone. It falls under the first-class residential land and ecological land within the Xiaguan Cluster. The project site is surrounded by water on three sides, offering a panoramic view of the 270-square-kilometer expanse of Erhai Lake. It is the only ecological residential area directly adjacent to Erhai Lake.

The intercity train from Kunming to Dali is scheduled to begin operations in 2012. Once completed, the travel time from Kunming to Dali will be reduced to just two hours. Erhai International Eco-City, integrated into the Dali region of the Yunnan Central Two-Hour Economic Circle, may lead another leapfrog development as the core city of western Yunnan. The Dali-Lijiang Expressway, which connects Southeast Asia, is currently under intensive construction. After completion, the travel time from Dali to Lijiang will also be shortened to two hours. Not only will this highway reduce the distance between Dali and Lijiang, but it will also serve as the main route for exiting Yunnan and entering Sichuan and Tibet. As part of the national trunk line connecting southwestern and northwestern China, it will promote the development of tourism, mineral resources, and cultural resources in northwest Yunnan, directly impacting the economic and social development of the three prefectures and cities of Dali, Lijiang, and Diqing in northwest Yunnan.

**Geographical Location and Future Development Prospects of Erhai International Eco-City**

Erhai International Eco-City is located in the Manjiang area of Xiaguan, west of the Binhe Avenue, next to the Dali Prefecture and Municipal Government offices, and serves as a key gateway to Hai East. According to the latest data published in 2010 by the Dali New Area Management Committee and the Prefecture and City Investment Promotion Office, Hai East has successfully attracted three investment projects worth over 1 billion yuan and five projects worth over 2 billion yuan. These projects include tourism areas, commercial hubs, transportation logistics, production manufacturing, education research, and more, showcasing the initial scale of the central city of western Yunnan.

Erhai International Eco-City is backed by Long Mountain and the administrative office area of the Dali Prefecture government, adjacent to the Binhe Avenue food street. It takes only 2 minutes by car to reach the ferry terminal at Dali Port, about 3 minutes to Walmart, around 5 minutes to the train station or bus station, and approximately 7 minutes to the airport or the future intercity train station. Rarely does one find such a combination of pristine natural ecology and convenient living amenities. Under the slogan of "two protections, two developments" advocated by the Dali Prefecture government, the old urban areas of northwest Hai and Xiaguan can only wait for urban renewal, and it will no longer be possible to develop residential projects directly adjacent to Erhai Lake.

It is worth noting that the project site is backed by Long Mountain, continuing the auspicious "dragon vein" of Long Mountain. In feng shui terms, this is known as "dragon raising its head," representing the place where the dragon deity emerges from the waters of Erhai Lake. Such a naturally formed location is rare and highly valuable. Therefore, Erhai International Eco-City boasts comprehensive advantages in terms of location, environment, scenery, and facilities, integrating multiple resources into one unique opportunity that cannot be replicated. As the saying goes, the benevolent enjoy the mountains, and the wise enjoy the waters. Erhai International Eco-City, situated in a prime location with both mountain and water views, aims to set a benchmark for lakeside resort living.
