Henan Luohe Centipede Breeding, Henan Faith Centipede Breeding Technology, Zhoukou Centipede Breeding Prospects in Henan
The Nongke Humin Breeding Farm specializes in breeding golden-headed centipedes and feed mealworms, integrating farming, sales, and product recycling into a large-scale farm. With a pragmatic and honest approach, it allows a wide range of customers to successfully breed golden-headed centipedes and feed mealworms, achieving the greatest return on investment with minimal capital.
Huazhong Agricultural University Support: As a key university under the national "211 Project", Huazhong Agricultural University collaborates with Wuhan Nongke Humin Bioengineering Co., Ltd., dedicated to scientific agriculture and enriching farmers through centipede breeding technology: Humin No. 2 Golden-Headed Centipede.
Advanced Technical Advantages: Through years of breeding observation, multiple biological experts and professors of bioengineering from Wuhan Nongke Humin Bioengineering Co., Ltd. and Huazhong Agricultural University have utilized purification technology and bio-genetic improvement engineering to cultivate a new generation of breeds - Humin No. 2 Golden-Headed Centipede. After observation, this breed is easy to raise, gentle in nature, strong in adaptability, fast-growing, highly reproductive, with better medicinal value and more significant economic benefits, making it an ideal investment project for many breeders.
Complete Breeding Facilities: The company leverages its agricultural science advantage, characterized by life sciences, relying on experts and scholars from the Animal Science and Technology College, focusing on modern bioengineering, special breeding, and insect resource development as its core. It is a high-tech enterprise that integrates research, breeding, teaching, promotion, technical services, production, sales, and import-export trade. It owns large ecological breeding areas, solar greenhouse breeding areas, and greenhouses, along with specialized departments such as technical training centers, seedling breeding centers, germplasm rooms, incubation rooms, and gene transfer rooms, ensuring a solid foundation and complete system.
Wuhan Nongke Humin Company: Upholding the tradition of "diligent study and hard work, self-improvement and helping others," our company is committed to the principle of "scientific agriculture" and operates under the business philosophy of "integrity, dedication, pragmatism, innovation, and win-win" to promote the industrial development of centipede resources. We are dedicated to providing our fellow farmers with higher-quality and high-yield seedlings, advanced technologies, and comprehensive services, allowing us to keep pace with the times and jointly create a brighter future.

(1) Jar Breeding
It can be used as a breeding ground for centipede reproduction and for raising small and medium-sized centipedes. The soil should not contain brick debris, weeds, grass leaves, melon shells, fruit peels, or grass roots. Its humidity should be such that when squeezed by hand, it forms a lump but scatters upon landing (with a moisture content of 15% to 17%). In midsummer and early autumn, it can be slightly moister. Similarly, breeding baby and medium-sized centipedes can also be made moister. The soil particles must not be too large. Each board can hold 15 jars, which can prevent natural enemies and stack the jars layer by layer, fully utilizing space. Clean the bottles thoroughly with concentrated alkali water, rinse them with clean water until they are transparent and odorless, then dry them and fill them with 2-3 cm thick moist soil. Using canned jars as centipede nests is ideal. Each jar can house one breeding centipede, or 20-80 baby centipedes, or 2-6 medium-sized centipedes. This ensures both reasonable density and solves the problem of mutual cannibalism.
(2) Greenhouse Breeding
Build a double wall around the breeding room 10 cm away from the walls, filling the gap between the walls tightly with sawdust or dry fine soil. The ceiling should be made into a double layer filled tightly to form an insulating layer. The door of the greenhouse should not be too large; just enough for one person to pass through. Attach velvet cloth around the door frame and nail burlap or cotton padding outside the door for insulation. Coal briquette stoves, electric heaters, wood shavings stoves, and firewood stoves can all be used for heating. Generally, for a breeding room measuring 3m x 3m x 2.25m, one coal briquette stove suffices.
Factors Affecting Centipede Activity: Centipedes generally come out at night, with peak activity between 20:00 and 23:00. Their characteristics include more nighttime activity and less daytime activity; more activity when temperatures exceed 25°C and less when temperatures are between 10°C and 15°C; more activity on rainy nights and less on rainy days; more activity on windless or slightly windy nights and less on windy nights (wind force above six). Thus, the frequency of centipede activity is closely related to meteorological factors such as temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, rainfall, and light intensity.
Centipede Feed Sources:
To succeed in farming, solving the feed issue is paramount. Centipedes primarily consume meat-based feeds, which must be fresh and clean. Suitable options include pork lungs, hearts, chicken intestines, small fish, frogs, snakes, earthworms, various insects, and meats. Depending on local conditions, choose the most cost-effective and stable supply as the main food source, while using relatively higher-cost items as supplementary feeds. This approach reduces costs while enriching the nutritional value of the feed.
Handling Centipede Bites:
When ordinary people are bitten by centipedes, swelling, pain, redness, and itching occur. The pain is sharp and needle-like, recurring several times per second, though it remains within tolerable limits.
Upon being bitten, immediately squeeze out the venomous blood and wash with alkaline water. Without treatment, the pain will completely disappear within six to eight hours. During this time, you can apply mosquito repellent or menthol oil to alleviate symptoms. If the pain becomes unbearable, seek medical attention for a local anesthetic injection.
One important point to note: Centipede venom is similar to bee venom. Those with a history of bee venom allergies should avoid centipede farming. Although only one in ten thousand cases result in severe reactions, centipede bites can be dangerous for those with allergic constitutions. A centipede's venom is equivalent to being stung by multiple bees simultaneously. If symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, full-body rashes, chills, etc., occur after a bite, seek immediate medical attention for desensitization treatment.
