According to reports (by reporter Tang Hongjie, correspondents Wang Chuanghui and Lü Hong) - after colluding with others to steal property from within the factory they were supposed to be guarding, a security guard actually locked himself inside the security room, creating a false impression of having been robbed in an attempt to evade responsibility. Yesterday, Dongguan Intermediate People's Court announced two cases involving security guards stealing tin bars from their respective factories.
At around 2:00 AM on July 29, 2008, Pu Mouhui took advantage of his colleague being away to open the factory gate for Li Moukui and Meng Mou, allowing them entry into the factory. Using iron rods, Li Moukui and Meng Mou moved the cameras on the second floor, then pried open the door at the foot of the stairs leading to the second floor, entering the plant manager's office where they stole 12 boxes of materials including tin bars and tin wire, amounting to a total value of 55,015.2 yuan. After succeeding, Li Moukui deliberately tied up Pu Mouhui inside the security room to create a false impression of robbery. Subsequently, Li Moukui and Meng Mou sold the batch of tin materials for 27,700 yuan. Recently, the Dongguan Intermediate People's Court handed down final sentences of five years and three months, five years, and four years and six months imprisonment respectively to Pu Mouhui, Li Moukui, and Meng Mou.
A similar incident occurred at a factory in Zhangmutou, Dongguan. On July 6, 2008, it was Zhu Moukuan's shift. While on duty in the security room keeping watch over the entrance, Wu Mouxin and "Maozai" moved 42 boxes totaling 825.5 kilograms of tin bars (worth a total of 288,925 yuan) to the warehouse shipping area. Following this, Wu Mouxin called Gao Mougang to come and move the goods. Gao Mougang drove directly into the factory premises and smuggled the tin bars out of the factory.
Recently, the court sentenced both Wu Mouxin and Gao Mougang to eleven years in prison each.
