Chongqing - A man surnamed Li was sentenced to three years in jail and fined 10,000 yuan for selling drugs twice in a month to a drug addict who was under compulsory isolation for drug rehabilitation.

According to the court, one day in October 2008, Li received a phone call from Jiang Nan who was under compulsory isolation for drug rehabilitation. Jiang asked Li to buy him some ice poison and麻gu. They agreed on the price of 400 yuan per pack of ice poison and 100 yuan per粒of麻gu. Afterwards, Li packed a pack of ice poison (about 0.4 grams) and a粒of麻gu (about 0.05 grams) in a plastic bag and aluminum foil paper, and brought them to the detoxification center in Zhong County under the guise of a friend visiting. When the guard went into the duty room to answer a phone call, Li handed over the drugs to Jiang while pretending to chat with him and others beside a stone table.

Half a month later, Li received another phone call from Jiang asking him to buy more ice poison at the same price of 400 yuan per pack. That afternoon, Li packed a pack of ice poison (about 0.4 grams) in a small sealed plastic bag, put it in a cigarette box, and brought it to the detoxification center in Zhong County to sell to Jiang.

After purchasing the drugs twice from Li, Jiang hid them in his socks and took them into the ward to consume with two other accomplices. After each consumption, they threw the drug paraphernalia over the wall of the detoxification center.

Six months later, the case was uncovered due to someone else's report, and Li was arrested.
