Young Man Collapses Suddenly on Stairs
The incident occurred at the foot of the stairs in X Peng Yonghong Village Internet cafe in deep Lanshi Village. Yesterday at 8 am, the reporter rushed to the scene where the police had sealed off the area. Several police officers were investigating and dozens of residents were discussing nearby. Reporters saw that the incident occurred in the building's third floor where the Internet cafe is located. A young man was lying on the ground. There was no body or blood visible on the stairs or stairwell as it underwent forensic examination.
At the scene, there was an old man and a pair of young men and women inside the security line looking at the deceased on the stairs. They looked sad. Subsequently, the young woman got a yellow cloth covering the deceased. Witnesses said they were relatives of the deceased who is originally from Foshan. The night before the incident, he spent time on the third floor of the Internet cafe and was ready to go home when he suddenly died.
Leaving With a Smile and Cashier's Greeting
The first person to discover the deceased was a male staff working in the Internet cafe. According to him, at 6:55 yesterday morning, he came to work and went up the first-floor stairs where he found a 20-year-old man wearing a gray jacket lying on the ground. He thought the other was asleep or passed out due to fatigue, so he leaned over and gently called out a few times while shaking his arm, but the other did not respond. Seeing the situation was wrong, he reported to the police and called 120 for help.
When leaving the Internet cafe, there were no apparent symptoms. A female cashier said that the deceased smiled and greeted her politely when leaving, and she didn't expect to find him dead ten minutes later. As for when he started and his status during the Internet session, the Internet cafe did not disclose this information evasively, saying customers use membership cards at checkout and the police haven't asked yet, making it inconvenient to transfer out surveillance video. The dead cannot check registration card.
Yesterday morning, the cafe was operating normally. The reporter saw that the Internet cafe was on a larger scale, with noisy computers. Ten young men were concentrating on playing online games, and users did not know about the sudden death.
Deceased Left Chest Had Surgery
Yesterday, regarding the cause of death of the deceased, witnesses had different opinions. However, one more consistent view is that it was due to a heart attack. A source said that when the incident occurred, he was on the second floor. Upon hearing the news, he went downstairs to watch, and soon after, the 120 emergency team arrived. After inspection, the man was confirmed dead. Doctors said at the time that the deceased had undergone surgery on the left chest, with marks, and also had drugs in his pocket. Relevant information was refused to be disclosed. Yesterday afternoon, the reporter learned from Chancheng police that the forensic identification revealed the deceased had physical problems and may have died suddenly after spending the night on the Internet, ruling out homicide.
