Haier Refrigerator Repair Tricks: Method for Handling Water Droplets Near the Door Frame

Fault Phenomenon: Water droplets appear near the door frame of the refrigerator.

Analysis and Repair: The seal around the door is not tight, allowing cold air from inside the box to meet with the humid air seeping in through the door gap. When the dew point temperature is reached, water droplets condense near the door frame. Place a lit flashlight inside the box facing the door, and check inside the box from the door gap; the stronger the visible light, the larger the gap. At the part where the door seal strip is translucent, embed soft materials such as sponges or rubber between the door seal strip and the door seal frame (for door seal strips connected by screws, loosen the screws before embedding). Its thickness should be slightly greater than the gap (adjust the tightness of the screws for screw connections), and its length should be about 15% longer than the length of the gap in the door seal strip. For parts with smaller gaps where material padding is difficult, use an electric heat blow dryer to move and heat the sealing strip at the gap location, with a temperature of around 65℃, heating while pulling the door seal strip higher by hand until it is slightly higher than the unheated door seal strip. Then cover the heated area with a towel dampened with cold water to cool and set its shape until the gap disappears. When the door seal strip adheres to iron powder or dirt, clean it thoroughly with a clean wet soft cloth. If you need to replace the door seal strip, its size and shape should match the original refrigerator door seal strip.
