According to our news report, yesterday we reported a tragedy in which a 3-year-old boy in a residential area in Xinyi was accidentally run over four times by the wheels of a BMW X6 while playing at the rear of the car, resulting in his death. At 7:00 PM yesterday, the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held a press conference to publicly inform the media and the general public about the progress of the investigation into the "9.7" case.
Most netizens believe that driver Mr. Wu had the mentality of "better to kill than injure," while some individual netizens think that Mr. Wu might really not have seen clearly, leading to panic. The victim's family, surnamed Li, has already moved out of the Liangchen Huayuan residential area because every time he and his family entered the community, they would be reminded of their son's tragic death. To avoid reliving the painful scene, he and his family have moved to their old home in Pizhou. Meanwhile, he hopes that relevant departments will quickly investigate this case and provide an explanation for his entire family.
At around 7:00 PM yesterday, the Xinyi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held a press conference to publicly inform the media and the general public about the progress of the investigation into the "9.7" case. The announcement stated that at around 11:00 AM on September 7, in the courtyard of the Liangchen Huayuan residential area in Xinyi City, a BMW X6 SUV with the license plate number Su CLHxxx ran over a 3-year-old boy living in the community, resulting in his death.
The neighborhood surveillance video shows that the involved vehicle repeatedly ran over the victim. At 11:04 AM, the Xinyi Public Security Bureau's 110 command center received the alarm. At 11:15 AM, police officers arrived at the scene and immediately began investigating and visiting the area, as well as retrieving the neighborhood surveillance footage.
Currently, the criminal suspect has been criminally detained, and the involved vehicle has been temporarily impounded. The Xinyi Public Security Bureau and the procuratorial organs are further investigating the case.
After the incident, the Xinyi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government arranged for relevant departments to properly console the victim's relatives and requested that the procuratorial organs intervene promptly. The public security bureau organized capable forces to thoroughly investigate the case and severely punish the offender.
Currently, the case is still under further investigation.
