According to People's Daily Online Bijie, July 13 (reporter Yu Xing), Wang Zhonggui, head of the Land Resources Management Office of Ashi Township in Bijie City, was legally arrested on suspicion of raping a female teacher on July 13.

On May 20, 2011, the Bijie Public Security Bureau criminally detained Wang Zhonggui (male, 28 years old, head of the Land Resources Management Office of Ashi Township) on suspicion of rape. On May 27, they requested the Bijie People's Procuratorate to approve the arrest. On June 3, the Bijie People's Procuratorate considered the facts unclear and the evidence insufficient, thus disapproving the arrest request and returning the case to the public security organs for further investigation. After the public security organs conducted further investigations and supplemented the evidence, they resubmitted the request for arrest to the Bijie People's Procuratorate on July 13. On the same day, the procuratorate approved the arrest.

Currently, the Bijie Public Security Bureau has executed the arrest warrant on the suspect Wang Zhonggui.
