News (reported by Zhou Rui): "I hope every child can have a pretty schoolbag, and there is a small laboratory in the school so that children in the mountains can also make small inventions themselves." On the occasion of Teachers' Day, Zhu Youquan, a math teacher at Kangping Central Primary School in Fengjie County, recently called the Chongqing Youth Development Foundation, hoping to transfer his six patented technologies to help children in the mountainous areas realize their dreams.

The rural teacher has six patents.

Kangping Central Primary School in Fengjie County is three hours away from the county town. Teacher Zhu Youquan, who is over fifty, has been teaching here for 30 years. Whenever he sees the chilblains on the children's hands, their thin clothes, and the fact that they don't have enough money for a full meal, it breaks his heart as a teacher with 32 years of experience.

Principal Luo Taibin of Kangping Central Primary School said that Teacher Zhu loves making small inventions and likes leading students in hands-on small projects. In recent years, he has repeatedly sought help for the lack of teaching experimental equipment for children in the mountainous areas, but the results were not ideal. Finally, Teacher Zhu could only pin his hopes on his own patented technology.

Teacher Zhu is a careful person who likes to observe various new and interesting things in life. He conducted extensive research and experiments in his spare time. Six of his small inventions have passed the patent review and received national patent certification. Light-controlled digital locks, building water-saving devices, and sun umbrellas with rotating canopies and ventilation windows are all products with high development value.

Yesterday, I saw the sun umbrella with a rotating canopy invented by Teacher Zhu. It has ventilation windows on the umbrella surface, and a ventilation window cover on the ventilation windows. Teacher Zhu said that this sun umbrella with a rotating canopy and ventilation windows has a simple structure, is easy to use, has low production costs, is easy to repair, and has promotional value.

Invention of Emergency Button Protective Cover

Living in the countryside, Teacher Zhu doesn't often take airplanes. During the summer vacation of 2007, when Teacher Zhu was returning home to visit relatives from Xiamen, he noticed that the emergency exit button on the plane was exposed and could easily be accidentally touched by passengers. After returning home, he consulted multiple sources of information and invented a protective cover for the emergency exit button on passenger planes.

This protective cover has a button hole set in the center of a base plate, with a protective cover set on the base plate. The base plate and the protective cover are connected by a hinge, and there is an elastic locking block on the edge of the base plate. When the protective cover is closed, the elastic locking block tightly presses against the inside of the protective cover. There are screw installation holes on the base plate.

"It can effectively protect the emergency exit button from accidental collision while ensuring the convenience of using the emergency exit button, reducing safety accidents," said Teacher Zhu. After this patent application was approved this year, he immediately sent the device to the civil aviation department, but has not yet received an official response.

"Improve the learning conditions for children and build a science and technology laboratory and activity room for the school," said Teacher Zhu. If his patented technology can be successfully transferred, he will use this money to establish a rural primary education fund to help children in the mountainous areas complete their studies and let them experience the charm of scientific and technological innovation from a young age.
