October 17 was a Sunday. The manager of a company in the jurisdiction of Tuodong Road Police Station went to work early to do overtime work, and was surprised to find that the office had been tampered with, and two laptops worth more than 12,000 yuan that stored a large amount of company data were gone. While reporting the incident to the police, he checked the internal surveillance video and saw a familiar figure in the footage. It turned out to be Wu Mou, an employee who had just been hired by the company for more than 10 days.

After receiving the report, the police officers from the police station rushed to the scene at the company and carefully examined the surveillance footage. Wu Mou, who was suspected of being a major suspect, tried to block the surveillance camera in the hallway. After confirming his exact identity, the police immediately put him on the wanted list online. On October 25, the Tuodong Road Police Station received a call from the Baimiao Police Station of the Duodao Branch of Jingmen Public Security Bureau in Hubei Province, informing them that Wu Mou had been apprehended in Jingmen, Hubei. Yesterday at around 5 a.m., Wu Mou was escorted back to Kunming by the police officers from the Tuodong Road Police Station.

Wu Mou, sitting in the interrogation room, is young but his dyed hair clearly shows many strands of white hair mixed in.

It turns out that not long after Wu Mou was hired by the company, he had the intention to steal. On the 15th, while at work, he secretly hid the key to the sales department's office. At around 1 a.m. the next day, he sneaked into the office building, opened the office door, and rummaged through it for nearly three hours. He then packed two laptops, one mobile phone, and one metal bracelet into a prepared travel bag and left. That afternoon, he sold one of the computers at the Fude Village second-hand market for 750 yuan, and fled to Jingmen, Hubei by train on the 17th. He was caught by the Jingmen police on the 24th.

The police officers from the Tuodong Road Police Station told reporters that they have now recovered one of the computers, and the data stored on it is intact, but whether the content of the data has been leaked remains unknown. Currently, the police are working on recovering the other laptop.
