Jigao Air Conditioning Repair Q&A; What is Central Air Conditioning? How many categories are there?
What is central air conditioning?
In large-scale air conditioning systems, central air conditioning is often used. Air treatment is completed using a large air conditioner installed in a dedicated air conditioning room. The cold and heat sources required for air treatment are supplied by specially designed refrigeration rooms and boiler rooms. Central air conditioners are larger in size, more complex in equipment, and handle a greater volume of air compared to medium and small-sized air conditioners. Domestic JW-type air conditioners and W-type air conditioners all belong to the category of large, centralized, horizontally assembled metal air conditioners. Their airflow can reach 10,000~200,000 m³/h, making them advanced products for large air conditioning systems in the country currently. They feature comprehensive functions, advanced structure, segmented combination, and ease of management, suitable for temperature and humidity regulation indoors in large buildings and high-rise buildings, as well as for fresh air treatment in mixed air conditioning systems.
How many categories does central air conditioning fall into? Depending on their construction, central air conditioners can be divided into three types:
(1) Air conditioners with spray chambers. These units have a spray chamber where nozzles can spray either chilled water or tap water. Water exchanges heat and moisture with the air, providing multiple functions. Different spraying methods such as coarse, medium, or fine can be used to cool and dehumidify the air, or even humidify it.
(2) Air conditioners with surface coolers. These units use a surface cooler as cooling coils through which chilled water flows, allowing for air cooling and dehumidification.
(3) Air conditioners with both spray chambers and surface coolers. These units are equipped with both spray chambers and surface coolers. This type of air conditioner combines the advantages of the first two types, offering a more complete air treatment process. Air conditioners with spray chambers also come in single-stage and double-stage spray types.
