Southern Daily News (Reported by Sun Ying) - The highly anticipated rape case involving Song Shanmu, the former president of the well-known educational institution Shanmu Group, was retried last week to provide additional evidence on two issues raised during the first trial.

One of the pieces of evidence is a forensic identification report regarding the bedsheet. On the bedsheet where Luo Yun (a pseudonym) had sexual intercourse with Song Shanmu, no bloodstains belonging to Luo Yun were detected. This evidence is crucial in verifying Luo Yun's previous statement that "there was blood on the bedsheet when she was forced to have sexual intercourse." During the second trial, this evidence remained consistent with the first trial, showing "no STR profile detected."

The other supplementary evidence concerns the company's inquiry record about when they notified Song Shanmu to return to Shenzhen. This evidence also aligns with what was presented during the first trial and may involve the nature of the 3000 yuan Song Shanmu gave Luo Yun afterward.

Song Shanmu's defense lawyer, Gan Yongming, the head of Guangdong Chenggong Law Firm, introduced that these two pieces of evidence are critical in determining whether the sexual intercourse between Luo Yun and Song Shanmu was voluntary or forced. The court conducted further verification accordingly. According to Gan Yongming, since this trial only addressed the criminal aspects, Luo Yun did not appear in court.
