ECNS, November 1 -- According to the Hong Kong Sing Tao Daily report, the oldest American female drug dealer was sentenced to 18 months in prison for selling cocaine in her living room at home in Florida. She would spend her 88th birthday in jail.

Ola Mae Agee, an 87-year-old pensioner, was arrested in a police sting operation when an undercover detective bought a piece of cocaine worth 15 pounds from her.

Agee was sentenced to 18 months in prison and said she would spend part of the rest of her life in prison. She wouldn't be released until she was almost 90 years old.

The closed-circuit TV footage played in court showed that on April 30 this year, the undercover officer knocked on the back door of Agee's house in Pensacola and then was led to the living room. Agee searched behind her couch and took out a small amount of cocaine.

This was not the first time Agee had been arrested for drug trafficking. In December 1996, she did not contest a charge of possessing a controlled substance; later, she again did not contest another drug trafficking charge and was sentenced to two years' probation, which ended when she was 78 years old. In February 1999, she was arrested again for two charges of possessing cocaine, and one of the charges was later dropped.
