Our reporter Xiao Yue writes: In the early hours of the day before yesterday, Cheng Rushan returned to his hometown in Henan with his brother whom he hadn't seen for 12 years. On February 12, after suffering severe hematemesis due to intoxication, he was rushed to the Beijing Armed Police General Hospital by his friends. He had neither identification nor did anyone know his name. Through posts online and police assistance, hospital staff eventually helped him reunite with his long-lost brother after 12 years.

Dr. Wang Songtao from the Beijing Armed Police General Hospital told reporters that on February 12, an ambulance brought in a severely drunk man who was continuously vomiting blood. The hospital immediately began emergency treatment. The two people who brought him quickly left after leaving him at the hospital. The emergency doctors didn't know the man's name, and there were no valid documents or even a mobile phone on him.

Dr. Wang Songtao said that after the rescue operation, the man eventually stabilized and regained consciousness. However, his heavy accent made communication difficult. After much effort, the man revealed that he was from Xiayi County in Shangqiu, Henan Province, and his name was Chen Yongjie. He provided the names of his parents and two brothers but did not know the family's telephone number.

Through inquiries at the local police station, it was found that the names he provided did not exist. Unable to find any leads, the doctors and nurses started posting online and inquiring extensively. With the help of a village party secretary, they eventually located the family. It turned out that the family surname was Cheng, not Chen, but the family situation matched what Chen Yongjie described. Both parents had passed away, leaving only the two brothers, the older brother named Cheng Luoling and the younger brother Cheng Songling. There was also reportedly another older brother named Cheng Rushan, who had been missing for over ten years.

Upon re-verifying with Chen Yongjie, it was confirmed that he was indeed Cheng Rushan. Subsequently, under the assistance of the village party secretary and the local police station, medical staff contacted Cheng Rushan's two younger brothers. On February 17, Cheng Songling came to the hospital, and the two brothers, who hadn't seen each other for 12 years, hugged and cried together. They then embarked on the journey home together.

Cheng Songling told reporters that his brother is 39 years old and had gone out to work 12 years ago without any further contact, even failing to return for their parents' funerals. They had searched everywhere but found no trace of him. When the hospital contacted him, he initially thought it was a scam. However, upon seeing the photos sent to him, he believed everything was true. If it weren't for the hospital's help, the brothers might never have met again. Regarding why he never returned home, Cheng Rushan said that he missed his family very much but felt ashamed to return as he hadn't earned much money since leaving home.
