(1) When is the annual inspection?
For small and micro non-commercial passenger vehicles: within 6 years, inspected once every 2 years; over 6 years, A, inspected once a year; over 15 years, inspected twice a year. Emission testing follows the annual inspection date.
Other vehicle types annual inspection regulations:
① For commercial passenger vehicles: within 5 years, inspected once a year; over 5 years, inspected once every 6 months.
② For cargo vehicles and large, medium-sized non-commercial passenger vehicles: within 10 years, inspected once a year; over 10 years, inspected once every 6 months.
③ For motorcycles: within 4 years, inspected once every 2 years; over 4 years, inspected once a year.
(2) What documents are needed for the annual inspection?
① The vehicle.
② Vehicle registration certificate. Both original and duplicate should be complete.
③ Valid third-party liability insurance policy with a validity period of 1 year and within its validity. If it's a financed vehicle without an original insurance policy, provide a copy (with the insurance company’s seal), insurance card, and explain the reason.
④ Identity proof and identity proof copy. Note that both the original and copies are required, and ID copies should be cut along the edge. For company-owned vehicles, the proxy's identity proof is required.
(3) What preparations should be made before the annual inspection?

(4) What is the specific process for the annual inspection?
Step one: Emission Testing
First, queue up and pay 75 yuan at the payment window for the testing fee, then wait for your turn online. Before the test, staff will conduct a preliminary inspection to verify if the engine number matches the registration certificate, check the appearance and condition of the vehicle briefly, and fill out the emission testing form. During the test, the inspector will drive the vehicle onto the line. Generally, new cars pass easily. After passing, you can pay 3 yuan at the window to receive the emission compliance mark. If failed, adjustments need to be made at the repair shop and retested, with another testing fee required.
Step two: Violation Check
At the query window, obtain and fill out the "Motor Vehicle Regular Inspection Registration Form," which can be obtained with the registration certificate. After filling out the form, submit it to the staff to check for any violation records. If there are no issues, the form will be stamped with "Checked, Ready for Inspection." If there are violations, handle them promptly with the violation notification slip.
Step three: Deposit Payment
Pay a 200 yuan deposit at the deposit window, keep the deposit receipt, and obtain and fill out the appearance inspection form.
Step four: Appearance Inspection
With the appearance inspection form, proceed to the appearance workstation. First, check the relevant procedures and verify if the third-party insurance (mandatory insurance) is within its validity period. After the procedures are checked, the appearance inspection begins, focusing on whether the lights are damaged, if the body conforms to the original design, if the suspension has been modified, as well as the sunroof and tires.
Step five: Line Testing
If the appearance inspection passes, queue up for the line testing. The detection line is responsible for brake, headlights (high beams), chassis, etc., which usually takes about 5-10 minutes. After the car comes off the line, you can get a computer-printed form indicating the status of brakes, lights, horn, etc. Qualified items are marked with "0" while unqualified ones are marked with "X." Generally, lights and brakes are unqualified. No problem, the testing site has places to adjust lights and brakes. After adjusting the brakes, retesting is required, but not for lights. Just get a stamp after adjustment.
Step six: Final Review
After passing all tests, prepare a copy of your ID, go to the main inspection office to sign and stamp.
Step seven: Fee Payment, Mark Collection
Pay the relevant fees at various windows, return the deposit, pay 7 yuan for the cost of the "Motor Vehicle Inspection Compliance Mark." Both the mark and the registration certificate will print the validity period. Starting this year, the inspection date corresponds to the initial registration date of the registration certificate. The green mark will indicate the validity period, which is the next inspection month. The "Inspection" word will be punched, and the month with the hole is the next inspection month.
(5) How much does the annual inspection cost?
Condition testing: 75 yuan

(6) Can someone else conduct the inspection on my behalf?
Yes, the trustee needs to provide their identity proof and have all relevant owner's documents ready.
(7) Can I conduct the annual inspection outside the local area? What procedures are needed?
Yes, the owner can apply for a "Notice of Entrusted Issuance of Motor Vehicle Inspection Compliance Mark" at the local vehicle management sub-office with the registration certificate and mandatory third-party liability insurance voucher. After the sub-office reviews and approves, they will fill out the "Motor Vehicle Entrusted Inspection Notice" and stamp the registration certificate with "Entrusted Inspection." After passing the inspection in another place, the out-of-town vehicle management office should send back the return receipt of the entrusted notice and the "Motor Vehicle Regular Inspection Registration Form" to the local city vehicle management office, which will record the regular inspection record in the computer registration system.
Note: Large buses, vehicles involved in unresolved road traffic safety violations and traffic accidents will not be allowed to conduct entrusted inspections.
