Insulated wires in home decoration
Surface-mounted insulated wires use rigid plastic sheathed wires; concealed wiring through pipes uses either rigid or flexible plastic wires; lamp head wires use flexible plastic stranded wires. Users can inspect the quality of insulated wires from two aspects: cross-sectional size and uniformity of insulation layer.
The wire cross-section is clearly specified in GB5皿3.2-85, but in the manuals published in 1986 and reprinted in 1991, the cross-section of hard wires still follows the old standards, and this situation is quite common in wall construction.
Wires with uneven thickness of insulation layer, air holes, or lumps on the surface cannot be used. It's recommended to select wires produced by manufacturers with a certain brand reputation, complete with certificates of conformity, "Zhi Jiao Le". For each roll of "Zhi Jiao Le" wire measuring 100m, the allowable length error is 2m.
In China, the vast majority of household electricity is single-phase entry. Each household has three wires entering it: phase wire, neutral wire, and ground wire. Wire colors: phase wire is yellow (or red, green), neutral wire is light blue, and ground wire is green/yellow bicolored wire. After these three wires enter the resident's distribution box, the color of their outgoing wires should be selected according to the standard in home decoration. The ground wire led out from the resident's distribution box must use green/yellow bicolored wire. The color of the neutral wire must be light blue, and the phase wire and incoming wire colors can be the same or different colored wires can be selected to distinguish different output circuits. For example, if the incoming wire is yellow, there are four outgoing circuits, all yellow wires can be used, or yellow, green, and red wires can be used, so that when checking the circuit, the faulty circuit can be quickly identified.
