May 6 (CSM) -- Several men driving a Guizhou-registered car, while passing through the Qinzhou section of the Lanhai Expressway in Guangxi, actually parked by the side of the road to make soup and eat hotpot. After the police found out the situation, they criticized and educated these several men immediately. The men who were having a dinner party realized their mistakes and stopped having dinner by the roadside.
On May 6, Detachment Seven of the Guangxi Public Security Traffic Police Corps High Management Branch which investigated this hilarious incident introduced the matter to the reporters. According to the introduction, at 8:30 on the morning of May 5, the policemen were patrolling within the area when they surprisingly discovered several men parking by the roadside to have a dinner party at G75 Line Lanhai Expressway 2060 kilometers + 200 meters. At the time, these several men sitting around small folding chairs were happily eating with bowls and chopsticks in their hands. A small canister of gas was placed beside them, which was connected to a single-mouth gas stove. There was a pot of meat and vegetable hotpot being cooked on the stove. Two pressure cookers and seasonings were also placed beside them. Soup was being made in the pressure cooker. The policeman went up immediately to point out the wrong behaviors of these men and criticize and educate them.
The police said that one of the men did not understand the criticism from the policemen at the beginning. He thought that they were not eating hotpot in the middle of the expressway, so it would not affect the traffic safety. The policemen patiently preached about the traffic laws and regulations to let the man realize that people are not allowed to walk on the expressway and even less cook hotpot or do similar things, as well as all sorts of serious consequences that might occur.
After more than ten minutes of patient education, these several men finally realized their own mistakes and stopped having a dinner party and left. The police told the reporters that according to the recently introduced 20 Convenient Traffic Measures in Guangxi, the police decided to only criticize and educate these several men without relevant punishment.
