The Declaration of the Chicken
Rebellious chicken: Dear fellow chickens, we have been butchered, skinned, gutted, dismembered, and then roasted, steamed, or fried in oil. Even after our feathers are plucked, they are made into dusters for them to admire on their tables. They even use our name as an insult. Aren't they detestable? They are our sworn enemies, our hereditary foes generation after generation. If we don't avenge ourselves, we are unworthy of being chickens. We must avenge our deceased chicken fathers, mothers, grandmothers, grandfathers, brothers, younger brothers, sisters, younger sisters, uncles, and aunts. For them, and also for ourselves, and more importantly, for our offspring to be spared from such calamities, arise, fellow chickens who refuse to be enslaved! Let us build a new life with our flesh and blood. The chickens are already at the most perilous time; each of us is forced to let out our final roar. Arise, arise, arise...
