My Baby Girl

God has blessed me with a baby girl.

She calls me mom.

She has a tender face.

She has soft hair.

When I come home from work,

She brings me a little stool,

And urges me to sit down quickly.

My little baby girl,

She loves to act coquettishly in front of me.

She wants me to hold her whenever she sees me.

Whenever this happens,

I feel so powerful,

And even more, so happy.

She always holds a toy doll in her hands.

She talks to herself as she feeds the doll milk,

And rocks the doll to sleep.

She loves watching Snow White,

And also Cinderella.

In front of her,

Everything is pure,

Everything is kind.

My little baby girl,

She will grow up slowly,

Growing eyes like mine,

A nose like her father's,

Blossoming into a beautiful young lady,

Finding a partner and bringing them home,

Then calling me mom again.

One day, when I am sixty,

My baby girl will support me,

Sitting under the sun,

My baby girl will rub my legs,

My baby girl will massage my back,

My baby girl will accompany me to sleep.

My life,

Because of my baby girl,

Feels happy and complete.
