Haikou Evening News reported on January 23 that the CCDI and the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee jointly held a press conference today to announce a series of typical cases violating organizational and personnel discipline, emphasizing strengthening supervision and inspection, strictly enforcing the party's organizational and personnel discipline, resolutely preventing and correcting improper practices in personnel appointments, ensuring the smooth conduct of centralized replacement work at all levels of local Party committees.
Secretary General and Spokesman of the CCDI Gan Yisheng announced the relevant case details. Gan Yisheng said that in recent years, various levels of disciplinary inspection and supervision agencies have worked with organizational and personnel departments to firmly correct improper practices in personnel appointments, such as 'running for office', 'buying and selling offices', 'vote-buying', 'non-organizational activities', and other violations of organizational and personnel discipline, seriously investigating and dealing with these issues.
Upon investigation, Lei Yingquan, former director of the Investment Department of Sichuan Provincial Finance Department, Liu Zhenshu, former Party Secretary of the Education Bureau of Jixi City in Heilongjiang Province, Shao Jianwei, former Director of the Public Security Bureau of Linfen City in Shanxi Province, Wu Baoan, former Party Secretary of Yicheng County in Shanxi Province, Yin Liming, former Deputy County Magistrate of Lianghe County in Dehong Prefecture of Yunnan Province, and Liu Erhai from Weixian County in Handan City, Hebei Province, were respectively investigated and dealt with severely by the Party and national laws due to 'running for office', 'buying and selling offices', 'vote-buying', and 'non-organizational activities'.
