Yo2 and 72Song are currently domestic blog service providers based on WordPress. Their sites seem to have been up for less than a year, but by now their functions are already fairly complete. The popularity of WordPress in China owes partly to their contributions. Yo2 allows free registration, whereas 72Song requires invitation-only registration; you'll need to ask a friend who is already registered to send you "pine nuts" (a string of activation codes used for registering with 72Song). Yo2 appears to use a modified version of the WordPress user program, while 72Song uses WordPressMU, a multi-user program from WordPress. This can be seen from the post suffixes: Yo2's post numbers are all in the tens of thousands, whereas 72Song's post numbers are still relatively small. Both provide most of the features of WordPress, which are sufficient for posting blogs and give users a lot of freedom.
