A Change in Temperament: Zhang Bai Zhi Converts to Christianity in 2004
As the new year begins, Zhang Bai Zhi has shown a change from her previously irritable temperament. She has openly expressed to the media her recent conversion to Christianity and is already arranging for baptism. She hopes to completely rid herself of her old habit of driving too fast.
Before the New Year, Zhang Bai Zhi participated in the "Hong Kong-Macau Full of Joy" countdown event, with her mother, three younger brothers, and many relatives present in support, creating a lively atmosphere. In mid-1998, after returning from high school graduation in Australia, Zhang Bai Zhi, under the arrangement of her agent, filmed the advertisement for "Sunshine Lemon Tea". When different versions of the ad were broadcast, various magazines, film companies, and advertising agencies contacted her agent. Among them, Stephen Chow firmly chose Zhang Bai Zhi as the lead actress for his 1999 Lunar New Year film "King of Comedy", which eventually became the box office champion of the New Year films, grossing 30 million Hong Kong dollars.
