Portland's double curse, Marcus Camby sprains ankle.

Marcus Camby won't play tonight against Toronto after spraining his right ankle in last night’s win over New Jersey, according to SB Nation’s Blazers blog Blazers Edge. That doesn't sound like earth-shattering news, but it is. Why? You see, Camby is the poster boy for two unfortunate trends in the NBA right now. One such trend involves Blazer big men getting injured this year. Greg Oden went down in early-December with a season-ending injury, and backup Joel Przybilla followed suit later that month. The other trend? Guys getting hurt immediately after they’re traded. First it was Ronnie Brewer tearing a hamstring after 12 minutes in a Grizzlies uniform, then it was Josh Howard tearing his ACL in his fourth game with the Wizards. Throw in Camby’s own injury history, and are we really surprised he got hurt? Sadly, not really. The moral of this story? Don't get traded to the Blazers if you want to stay healthy. The table curse will strike you down.
