Hazards of Paronychia         If paronychia is not treated in time, it can lead to severe pain and gradual pus formation in the nail (toe) area. When pus accumulates under the nail, it forms a subungual abscess. If left untreated for a long time, it can turn into chronic paronychia, leading to nail bed destruction. In severe cases, it can affect nail growth and cause great inconvenience for treatment. Long-term lack of treatment can also lower the immunity of the nail area, causing the nails to lose their protective barrier function, making them more susceptible to fungal infections (such as onychomycosis). Some patients may even experience nail loss, nail sheath inflammation, and osteomyelitis. Moreover, paronychia and ingrown nails will generally not heal on their own without treatment. Due to the pain, patients often walk with a limp, which greatly affects their overall appearance.         Therefore, friends who suffer from paronychia or ingrown nails must take it seriously and use paronychia patches in time to avoid worsening of the condition and increasing personal suffering.         Reference: http://www.skb120.com
