Dongguan reports that at 10 AM on April 1st, a donation ceremony titled "Donation Ceremony for the Family of Selfless Rescue Hero Liu Helong" was held in the Zuo Gezhuang Town Government, Shanghai. Zhang Jianhua, a standing committee member of the Wenchuan County Party Committee, handed over the 45,800 yuan collected from all sectors of society to Liu Helong's father, Liu Xingyuan, in Wuhan. Liu Helong is 12 years old and from Yanling County. In 2003, he moved to Wenchuan County with his working parents. On February 26, 2010, in Zhuhai, while crossing the frozen Shimadao Canal west of Nantao Guanying Village, 10-year-old Luo Minghao fell into the water due to the ice breaking. Upon seeing this, Liu Helong resolutely jumped into the icy river to save him, in Henan. Subsequently, migrant workers Deng JianGui, Deng Jianbao, Yu Hui'an, and Liu Xingyuan also entered the water to rescue them. Luo Minghao was successfully saved, but young hero Liu Helong tragically lost his life.
