It was in the height of summer, and because of the exam, I went to the countryside. There was a lake there, and several of us classmates went together to see the place that everyone had been praising. The small road after the rain was a bit muddy, but the crops on both sides were washed so emerald green by the rain, brimming with vitality. As the wind stirred up the lake water and beat against my eardrums more and more strongly, a magnificent scene gradually unfolded before my eyes. In the distance, the vast expanse of lake water seemed boundless; what came into view were those lotus flowers standing gracefully on the green stage, dancing elegantly. There were white ones and pink ones, and with the undried raindrops clinging to them, they appeared even more enchantingly alluring. The wind rustled through the lotus leaves, causing the dewdrops on them to roll back and forth. This sea of green, along with the symphony filling my ears, created an overwhelming auditory and visual impact that left me awestruck by that field of lotuses! ... Later, I often revisited that place in my dreams, and it left an indelible mark on me - a deep affection for lotuses.
