According to reports from Jingchu.com (Chutian Metropolis Daily) citing Dongfang Jinbao on February 21st, a girl named “Liele” (a pseudonym) posted on a Zhengzhou forum about transferring her boyfriend's family gifts received during the New Year, valued at approximately 300,000 yuan. These gifts included 20 cases of Feitian Maotai wine (each case containing 6 bottles), 43 boxes of Su cigarettes, supermarket gift cards totaling 150,000 yuan, among other items. This post left many netizens in awe, commenting that this is what they call celebrating the festival.

The reporter learned that “Liele’s” online registration date was December 16, 2009, and her birthdate was July 1988. After February 10th, she had repeatedly posted transfer information, including gas cards, cosmetics, white liquor, and branded handbags. She was also transferring several apartments. Many netizens exclaimed that they were “opening their eyes wide.”

Could one receive 20 cases of Maotai wine as gifts during the festival? Faced with netizens' doubts, “Liele” replied, “If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t have believed it either. My boyfriend’s family has a dedicated warehouse for storing gifts.” Around 5 PM on February 21st, “Liele” modified the content of her post, only indicating the transfer of cigarettes and alcohol.

On the 25th, the reporter contacted “Liele” under the pretense of purchasing cigarettes and alcohol. She said the transfer price for Feitian Maotai wine was 700 yuan per bottle, the gift box Su cigarettes were priced at around 800 yuan per box on the market, but the transfer price was 400 yuan per box, and the supermarket shopping cards were exchanged for cash at a 92% discount rate.

When questioned about the authenticity of the Maotai wine, “Liele” stated that her boyfriend’s family had never received counterfeit goods, and no one dared to send fake products. If there were any doubts, the goods could be inspected on-site. She mentioned that 150,000 yuan worth of supermarket shopping cards had already sold for 20,000 yuan, and if more were needed, one could wait until the Lantern Festival. She explained that she was helping her boyfriend handle these matters, but after he found out about her online posts, he asked her to modify the content.
