The EU Milk Committee expounded on the future of the EU milk market as a new beginning at last week's "Sanyuan Hotline; The Future of Milk" meeting, stating that dairy farmers will bear more responsibility and milk production will be closely linked to market demand.

Romuald Schaber, Chairman of the EU Milk Committee, stated that the future EU milk market has the following three characteristics:

First: The allocation of the milk market must be regarded as the primary concept to implement. Therefore, milk producers should feel that they can control the supply of milk.

Second: The institutions responsible for milk market allocation cannot pursue political interests, but must protect the interests of consumers and producers, and operate the European milk market in a fair manner.

Third: The allocation of the milk market is a mission for Europeans. This means that decisions made by European milk market institutions and the European Producers Association are binding on all European milk producers.
