Microsoft and Zend have been cooperating for a long time, and the hype has started to pick up recently. It is estimated that they have just passed the final hurdle, making it a sure thing.

Windows Server primarily promoted ASP before 2000, and later introduced ASP.NET, which can be said to not be on the same level as ASP. ASP excels in rapid development, while .NET focuses on enterprise-level applications. Therefore, Microsoft's decision to position .NET as a replacement product for ASP was a strategic error - from then on, Microsoft lacked lightweight web development options and gradually moved towards a disadvantage in competition with Linux-based platforms.
