E-commerce has taken another big step towards Web 2.0.

The world's largest auction site, eBay, has launched a social networking feature called "The Block." Unlike most current commercial websites, which merely add a "forum + blog" article publishing system for interaction (as seen on Taobao), "The Block" incorporates full-fledged Web 2.0 community elements. Users can easily join in, publish articles, share images, and post products. The sharing process and interface are even more user-friendly than the well-known Yahoo! Mash prototype.
