Every time I focus on design, I usually go through two phases: planning and fine-tuning. During the planning phase, I mainly focus on achieving a relatively complete initial version of a particular page. In the second phase — the fine-tuning phase — I polish the design and adjust elements such as tones, typography, image processing, and layer adjustments, generally cleaning everything up thoroughly. In this first series of web design guides, we will primarily focus on the fine-tuning process.
