1. Some things, people know are wrong, but still insist on doing because they are unwilling to let go; some people, we know we should hate, but still choose to forgive because there's no resolution; sometimes, we know we should stop, yet we continue due to habit.
2. Thinking that by closing our eyes, we can no longer see the world; thinking that by covering our ears, we can hear no troubles; believing that stopping our steps will make our hearts stop longing; believing that all the love we need is just a hug.
3. The mistakes we've made, some were due to haste, others due to deliberate avoidance, and most often it was sitting idly in confusion. We made mistake after mistake, yet never learned from them or conducted any self-reflection.
4. You don't know I'm thinking of you because you don't love me. I clearly know you don't care for me, yet I still love you because I am foolish. Perhaps sometimes, avoidance isn't out of fear of confronting something, but rather waiting for something.
5. There are no traces of wings on the ground, but the birds have flown; there are no scars left by knives on the heart, but the pain is so clear. These hardest places in our hearts, the wounds inflicted by the ones we love, cut deeper than any physical injury, and only time can heal.
6. Many people, due to loneliness, mistakenly love someone, but even more people, because of loving one person, remain lonely for life. We could love each other, but fate has decreed that we cannot be together. It’s not that I don’t love you enough, it's just that I’m unsure if this love is the right one.
7. If betrayal is a kind of courage, then accepting betrayal requires an even greater kind of courage. The former needs only enough bravery, or perhaps just a moment of impulse, while the latter tests one's capacity for tolerance. It's far from being just about calmness, and what it truly requires is time.
8. Life cannot be used to prove love, just as we cannot prove that we can stop believing in love. In this city, just as Vancl represents material luxury, love is a spiritual luxury. But life is fragile, and simply cannot bear so much extravagance.
9. The smallest challenge for a person is to understand oneself, and the easiest is also to understand oneself. Often, we fail to recognize ourselves because we place ourselves in the wrong position, giving ourselves a false sense of security. So, we shouldn't fear rough roads ahead, but only starting off in the wrong direction.
10. Living in a city, or loving someone, or doing something, over time, one might feel weary and have the urge to escape. Perhaps it's not the city, the loved one, or the thing we persist in that we're tired of, but rather the lack of courage within ourselves to continue.
11. How long and short life is, memories carve life into a circle, and people twist endlessly at the same spot, unable to break free. Always hoping to return to where we first met, if given another choice, we think we could love more purely.
12. If you clearly know the outcome of a matter, you might choose to speak up, or pretend not to know, but never half-reveal it. Sometimes, the harm left to others, choosing silence is more painful than choosing honesty.
