The Air Jordan 8 was released during the 1992/93 NBA season when MJ won his third consecutive NBA title. Jordan himself secured his seventh straight scoring title. The base of the Air Jordan Retro 8 was clearly similar to that of the Air Jordan 7 model, but it featured a lot more details, colors, and accents. It had crossover velcro/leather straps. The eighth model of the Air Jordan was quite heavy due to its thick padding, which also made it warm easily. This shoe was only available in three different color combinations.
