The Air Jordan 15 was released in late 1999 and early 2000. It was the first Air Jordan model released after MJ’s second retirement. Similar to the Jordan Retro 15, Jordan never played professionally while wearing this shoe. There were also concerns about the comfort of the Air Jordan 15. The tongue of the Air Jordan 15 mimicked MJ's well-known habit of sticking his tongue out while playing. This was supposed to be the last Air Jordan model designed by Tinker Hatfield, but he later returned to design the Air Jordan 15 model. However, this Air Jordan model is generally recognized as a failure in terms of both performance and style.
